I want to plug into a standard us 3 prong 220 v outlet and then be able to plug in a standard us 3 prong 110 v plug device. will this work?
The standard US 3 prong plug is 110V 15 amps, which is the normal "2 flats and a round" plug configuration that you see on everyday electrical items. This product will plug into that socket and will pass 110V, 15A service to the load, WITHOUT connecting the "round" earth connection through to the earth connection on the plug. This is "generally" not problem, but can cause a safety issue if your load has a "short to ground", which can electrify the metal case of your load (depending on the configuration of the load), allowing whoever/whatever touches it to be the path to earth ground (shockingly). Fortunately 110 will usually not kill you, but WILL surprise you a LOT, and may start fires if the conductive path includes flammables and sparks ensue, but hey, what are the odds of that???
Is this convert from 110 v to 220 v & from 220 v to 110 v or not?
It will bring 220 volts down to 110/115 volts. It cannot make 220 volts out of 110/115 volts.
Is each USB 2.4amps so this can handle a 4.8amp draw all at once?
Max input 2.4A. not 4.8A
